My name is Jon Marc DeWalt, and I am a 34-year-old educator and investor. I was born in Manhattan and raised in Queens; I wrote this book out of pure frustration because many of my contemporary peers did and did not understand the history of money, how to properly use the tool of money, and out of a passion for spreading the gospel of financial freedom. I want to help people of color and especially Black millennials. What qualifies me as a subject matter expert? I have been broken financially, poor mentally, homeless, incarcerated, and jobless after that. So, I had to make a conscious decision to change my mindset and, in turn, my future, so I decided to revamp my skills and mindset to become a rich thinker. After that, I returned to school to further my education and increase my earning potential. After 11 years of enrollment, I finally completed my bachelor's in Kinesiology. A master in Sports Management, later transitioned into business & I.T., receiving my master's in management information systems.
